Want to take your bike on a real track? Here's everything you need to know before you get to Luddenham Raceway, from the gear you need to what gets checked at sign-in.

RPM Ride Day at Luddenham Raceway

Ride the Luddenham motorsport track on the same day as RPM X Luddenham. Spots are limited, so lock yours in early.

Price: $270 per rider, booked through RPM's ticket page
Spots: limited to 54 riders
Bikes: road and track bikes of any size are welcome, as long as they're in safe working order

Rider gear (no exceptions)

Leathers: a one-piece leather suit, or a two-piece leather suit that zips together
Helmet
Motorcycle gloves
Motorcycle boots

Kevlar jeans and a riding jacket are not accepted. This is because of the speeds involved and the venue's insurance requirements. No leathers, no ride.

Bike requirements

Scrutineering: every bike is checked before it goes on track
Brakes: must be in good working condition
No leaks: no oil or other fluid leaks
Sliders: must be fitted
Noise limit: 95 dBA

Licence, ID and age

Licence: a valid Australian licence, P1 or higher. No outside racing licence needed
Photo ID: bring your original Australian driver licence, Australian photo card or passport for sign-in
16+ only: everyone in the motorsport track area must be 16 or over, including spectators and pit crew. Riders under 18 need a parent at sign-in
Waiver: everyone entering the motorsport area must sign Luddenham's waiver

On the day

Sign-in, scrutineering and the rider briefing happen before the first session. Exact times will be on your ticket
Sessions are run in groups, with live lap timing
Burnouts and dangerous riding are not allowed
Luddenham has live pits. Stay in the marked areas and keep an eye out

Coming to watch?

16+ only in the motorsport area, no exceptions
Wear enclosed shoes
Sign the waiver and collect a wristband at Luddenham reception before entering. Spectator entry details will be confirmed closer to the day
